The Rise of Korean

Korean is becoming an increasingly popular language to learn, partly because of its rising economy with companies like Samsung and LG succeeding world wide, and also partly because of the increasing popularity of K-Pop and Korean movies/television. Probably what makes Korean an easier language to learn is that is has an alphabet. Once you learn the Korean alphabet, it makes reading that much easier for beginners. Shortly after World War 2, Korea was divided into North and South Korea. Currently, it is difficult to enter North Korea but South Korea is quite open and travelling there is quite easy. If you plan to travel to South Korea, you may consider visiting Seoul, Busan, Incheon, and many more cities. If you go to Seoul, you may want to visit Bukhansan National Park, Jamsil Baseball Stadium, or the MyeongDong NANTA Theatre. In Busan, you may want to visit the Gamcheon Culture Village, Haedong Yonggung Temple, or DongBaek Island.
K-Pop has lured many to learn the beautiful Korean language. By now, most people have heard of Gangnam Style and its singer Psy has toured the USA and created many new fans. Other than Psy, there are many more popular K-Pop groups such as Girls Generation, 2NE1, Wonder Girls, After School, etc. Also, Korean movies and drama are also getting popular with such movies as Old Boy, The Howling, and The Berlin File getting many international fans. an image
